Azamara’s 175-Night World Cruise Will Call at Pitcairn in 2028

Azamara Cruises has announced one of the most ambitious journeys in its history: a 175-night world cruise in 2028 aboard Azamara Onward, visiting six continents, 40 countries, and 91 ports.

Among these global highlights is a scheduled call to Pitcairn Island, giving guests a rare chance to experience life in one of the world’s most remote communities.

Departing Miami on January 5 and concluding in Athens on June 29, the voyage is divided into 14 curated segments. Early in the itinerary, travellers sail through Latin America and the Panama Canal before reaching Ecuador, Peru, Easter Island, and Pitcairn Island, then continuing across the Pacific toward Tahiti, Bora Bora, New Zealand, and Australia.

With 44 late departures, 24 overnights, ’AzAmazing’ evenings, and more than 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the itinerary, the journey is designed to help guests explore deeply and connect meaningfully with each destination.

Azamara Cruises chief executive Dondra Ritzenthaler highlighted the immersive nature of this sailing:

“As guests traverse oceans and continents, they’ll experience a remarkable sense of connection to each destination, to the people they encounter and to our warm, welcoming crew."

For Pitcairn, the visit offers a special opportunity to welcome travellers ashore, share local stories, showcase island crafts, and introduce guests to the unique culture and history of Adamstown.

We look forward to greeting Azamara Onward and her world-cruise guests during their 2028 journey.
