Walk the Eco Trail to Sailors Hide and Christian's Cave
Wander through Pitcairn's native and endemic flora, beneath dramatic overhanging rock formations and past places tied to the island's history. The trail leads toward Sailors Hide and on to the climb to Christian's Cave.

Whale Watching
Whales can often be spotted around Pitcairn from both land and sea. The surrounding waters are thought to be used as breeding and calving grounds, and islanders have observed and photographed young calves.
Quad Bike Tours
Quad bikes are the primary means of transportation on Pitcairn and a guided tour is a fun way to explore the island. Most accommodation providers can help arrange a tour.

Visit the Pitcairn Museum
A short walk from the public square in Adamstown, the museum brings together artifacts from Pitcairn's Polynesian history, the story of the Bounty and the island's later settlement.
Highlights include the Bounty cannon recovered from Bounty Bay, naval artifacts and historic Pitcairn memorabilia.

Self-Guided Walks
Pitcairn rewards exploring on foot. The island is well signposted and visitors receive a walking map on arrival, making it easy to set out and discover the island at your own pace.
Play a Game of Tennis
Tennis has been a favourite local sport on Pitcairn for many years.
The Tennis Court at Aute Vally was built in 1994 and was re-surfaced in May 2013 thanks to donations and volunteer workers.
Swim in St. Paul's Pool
St. Paul's Pool is one of Pitcairn's most striking natural attractions. This sea-carved tidal pool offers clear water and abundant marine life, with swimming and snorkelling possible when sea and weather conditions allow.
Go Fishing
Pitcairn's surrounding waters support plentiful fish. Visitors may be able to arrange a fishing trip with a local provider or experience one of the island's traditional community fishing outings.
Fishing and sharing the catch remain an important part of island life.
Visit John Adams' Grave
A short walk from the Town Square brings you to the grave of Bounty mutineer John Adams, alongside the graves of his wife and daughter.
Meet Ms. T, the Island's Galapagos Tortoise
While walking toward Tedside you may meet Ms. T, Pitcairn's resident Galapagos tortoise. She is well known for approaching visitors and particularly enjoys fruit.
Hike to Down Rope
At the base of a roughly 700-foot cliff, Down Rope is home to Pitcairn's sandy beach and ancient Polynesian petroglyphs.
The route is difficult and potentially dangerous, so visitors may only visit Down Rope with a local guide.
Shop Around at the Pamai Centre
Built in 2020 with funding from the European Union, the Pamai Centre is a central hub for local services and business on Pitcairn.
The General Store
The island's General Store stocks groceries, frozen foods, household essentials, clothing, footwear, hardware and other everyday supplies. Locally grown produce and baked goods may also be available.
Pitcairn Island Post Office
Pitcairn has issued its own postage stamps since 1940. International mail continues to travel through New Zealand and may take several weeks to reach its destination.
Government Treasury Office
Pitcairn's official currency is the New Zealand Dollar. Government transactions and banking matters are handled through the Treasury Office, where visitors may also be able to access cash and exchange currencies.
