Pitcairn Islands.... Shopping
Pitcairn Islands.... Shopping
There aren’t any souvenir shops on the island, but the locals all sell their souvenirs in their homes to all visitors. If you visit the Island on a cruise ship, the locals set up souvenir stalls along the main road through to the town square. If it’s too rough to come ashore, the locals come on board and bring our souvenirs to you.
What can you buy?
T-shirts, baseball caps, hats, bags, coats, tea towels, post cards, stamps, coins and locally made produce including honey, wooden carvings, thatched baskets, soap etc....
There is one local convenience store call the Government Store, where you can purchase a limited range of imported meats, frozen vegetables, canned goods, dry goods, chocolate, soft drinks, alcohol, cigarettes, toiletries, cleaning products etc..
You can also purchase souvenirs online directly from islanders’ web sites.
